I commit to take the responsibilities as defined in the Guardianship Contract as follows:
The intent of this agreement is to rehome Ginger our F1 labradoodle so she will have a forever family and be included in Fairfield Doodles breeding program.
Ownership of Ginger, Chip # SPECFIED ABOVE remains the property of the Breeder, Kirstin Stuart, for a period of 4 years (January 2023) or the completion of four litters, whichever occurs first. At that time, ownership will transfer to the Guardian and she will be spayed at the Breeder’s expense.
Guardian will take possession on SPECFIED ABOVE with the responsibility to:
1. Safely confine Ginger by use of physical fence or leash
2. Provide basic house/leash training
3. Keep Ginger crate trained when she is sleeping at night
4. Provide daily exercise either playing fetch or walking
5. Feed approved food
6. Provide regular vet care as needed, including vaccinations at guardian’s expense
7. Keep Ginger free from parasites including fleas and worms, using natural products where possible, and in consultation with the Breeder
8. Deliver Ginger to the Breeder or meet Breeder upon request with 24 hour notice for breeding purposes, testing ect.
9. Contact Breeder immediately in the event of serious illness or accident including severe diarrhea, loss of appetite, vomiting, etc.
10. Notify Breeder of any absences for vacations of the local area in advance and give contacts for dog’s caretaker during absence.
11. Send copy of all vet visits to Breeder.
12. Licence Ginger and keep it current.
13. Keep Ginger away from intact males during her season.
14. Maintain the contract even in the event that Guardian moves out of the area, including flying Ginger to the Breeder when requested at Guardian’s expense.
15. Notify breeder at first signs of her heat
Should Ginger die of natural or accidental causes while in possession of Guardian this agreement shall terminate. Should Ginger die while in the Breeder’s possession this agreement shall terminate, the Breeder shall provide the Guardian with a replacement puppy from the next litter.
At any time if the Guardian is not complying with the terms of this agreement, the contract shall terminate and Ginger shall return the Breeder.
Breeder responsibility:
1) Make sure Giger is healthy and up to date on her vaccinations upon rehoming
2) Approve Guardian's choice of dog food
3) Pay all veterinary costs pertaining to reproduction such as genetic testing, progesterone testing, pregnancy testing.
4) Pay for spay at the completion of the contract
5)Provide dog care support when requested
6) Provide information on detecting and caring for a dog in heat
